ubiquity: tzconvert

Let me introduce yet another timezone convertor: tzconvert.

tzconvert converts timezones using TimeZone Converter service.
If you don't know the string defining a timezone, you can type as well the user friendly city name. The local time is the default and is expressed as a GMT offset.

Examples:

tz 10am from pst to gmt+1
tz from new_york to london
tz 12am from rome to new_york
tz to london
tz from tokyo

As usual there is the command documentation in illuminated code format.

Other Ubiquity commands:

yahoo-graph
aptana-search
fxconvert

ubiquity: fxconvert

Let me introduce yet another currency convertor: fxconvert.

fxconvert converts currencies using Oanda FxConverter service.
If you don't know the three chars defining a currency, you can type as well the user friendly country name.

Examples:

fxconvert 10 from japan to finnish
fx from british
fx 10 from finnish
fx 1.5 from eur to usd

There is the command documentation in illuminated code format.

ubiquity: aptana-search

Let me introduce a new command for Ubiquity: aptana-search.

Ubiquity is a Firefox extension to connect the web with language. It is a powerfull tool to speed up, and to connect, common browser actions: navigating, copying location, pasting, etc.

Aptana Studio is a complete web development environment that combines
powerful authoring tools with a collection of online hosting and
collaboration services that help you and your team do more, more
easily.

aptana-search searches in the Aptana forum and Tracker app (ASAP): it retrieves the latest seven results from the forums and from ASAP, separated by an horizontal line. Without keywords, the command retrieves the latest seven issues by ASAP. There is a little delay between the display of the forum and the tracker results.

aptana-search retrieves the title of the post or the issue, the nickname of the latest post or the name of the latest issue updater, the date of the latest thread post or issue comment.

You cannot miss a post or an issue. :)

You can subscribe to aptana-search at the following url: aptana-search command

Known issues: the forum results will not have nickname and data information, but the first one, because there is a bug in jQuery 1.2.6. It has been resolved with jQuery 1.3.0, but Ubiquity will bundle the latest jQuery release only with the 0.2pre9 release or higher.

ubiquity: yahoo-graph

Ubiquity is a Firefox extension to connect the web with language. It is a powerfull tool to speed up, and to connect, common browser actions: navigating, copying location, pasting, etc.

We developed a simple command: yahoo-graph. It retrieves the Year To Date graph of a ticker: you can see the graph in the preview and, executing the command, you can insert it in the text area, if any, of a email, for instance.
